In 2014, Teajai, started the popular Spoken Word workshop 'Free Verse' as part of a larger community arts initiative and in 2016, that workshop earned him the Literary Arts Infrastructure award from the Windsor Endowment for the Arts. Having contributed so much to the local literary arts scene in Windsor ON, Teajai was also awarded the 2018 Literary Arts Leadership award. Currently, Teajai, is working within School Boards, local no for profit organizations and agencies to bring poetry, spoken word and the tradition of storytelling to younger audiences. He has recently had work featured in publications such as On the Rivers [Urban Farm House Press] and was appointed the resident poet for the Omoluabi newspaper [Part of the Ontario Youth Black Action Plan].
